We had put a crisis plan in place for Securitas (now known as Loomis) in case of a robbery such as this, which meant we had already offered the company a head start. But as you can imagine, there was massive interest from the media, so the work had only just begun. Having advised the client on crisis for several years, we became central to the case’s communications strategy, working with the Police and media around the clock.

Speaking to over 500 journalists in the first week alone, all media enquiries were dealt with by one senior person at Publicasity, which meant the communication was consistent. So consistent that an independent analysis into how Securitas’s reputation fared showed despite this massive financial loss, the company’s reputation remained strong and the company suffered from next to no criticism.
